Social Media Marketing Trends week of April 7th
Mercury in retrograde hitting you hard?
I can say we’ve had some pretty down right RUDE things happen this past week in the agency, and my family life.
But, this isnt about me. It’s about YOU!
So here’s something I heard from a friend that I kind of grew to love”
“What if every time you wanted to cry about it, you laughed.”
You forced yourself to smile, chuckle. Even if you couldn’t find a single reason to.
She’s NOT saying don’t feel your sad / confused / angry feelings…
or that they are bad feelings.
But rather, feel them, exist in them..
and choose to exercise a laugh anyway.
Just as a little dose of medicine.
And a reminder that good feelings still exist, and will come back.
Make the hard decision to not let the bad stuff cloud your vision on the good things happening all around you.
Mercury in retrograde refines us.
Challenges shape us to be better on the other side of the tunnel.
I am going to Japan next week, EEEK, and I have one thing on my shopping list:
find a special piece of Kintsugi.
It’s an art form where they take a beautiful broken item, like a tea cup or vase, and they put it back together with gold filling the cracks.
I believe every hardship we survive gives us the opportunity to be filled with gold, and become more beautiful once we are whole again.
Every Mercury in Retrograde that breaks us, shows us areas where we were weak.
So if your social media content has you feeling all down in the dumps.
Take an inventory.
What pieces are still good?
What gold could you use to put it back together?

Round Up Content
Prompt: This is a prompt I am taking from our agency toolkit. One of the things we often do for clients is put together ‘round ups’ of valuable information for our intended audience. For example, if we want to reach Moms in a certain neighborhood we put together a roundup of 5 things to do this weekend in that area. It’s highly shareable, savable content that puts you in favor with your target audience.
Other examples could be: a round up of tips, a roundup of resources, a roundup of your must-haves.
Examples: Classic Round Up Reel, Round up of Tips Done Creatively, Facts Round Up with a theme
