Social Media Marketing Trends week of April 15th

Did you know our agency puts out over 125 original Reels and TikToks every single week? That’s north of 500 a month…

I personally review almost all of them. If I don’t, another member of our leadership team does.

There’s a great amount I have learned and understand now about the world of social… simply by economies of scale… and studying the amount of content I do, every single week.

It makes me laugh/cry when I see so many accounts online telling you that a single hack will make your account go viral.

Many of them only have responsibility for ONE account… they only know what worked for them, and they expect it to work for everyone.

It is inherently flawed.

I’m here to tell you that I have tried all the hacks, post a LOT more content than those folks, and know that hacks are not the answer.

It’s critically important that you are connected to the WHY you are posting, so that you don’t get caught up in feelings of “UGH why is social media not working for me, but everyone else!” If you are connected to your why, you will be able to ride the ups and downs of the algorithm a lot more.

🦄 Remember that you are a unique unicorn. 🦄

You have to find the sauce that works for you.

And know that as social evolves, it will become even more of a long game, a strategic and vast playing field of communications.

That’s why I am really excited to grow and develop this community of Authentic Creator Members from the ground up, with a commitment to supporting voices in social that are authentic and meaningful.

Just last week, we made the decision to invest in building this community out to be a LOT more robust.

We have hired an expert in social media and community aficionado, Annabelle, to focus 100% of her time on supporting the ACN members.

We have a LOT of fun things in the works, which I can’t wait to tell you about.

But first —- I want to hear directly from YOU, and find out how we can best support your experience as a social media creator.

So far, we have offered:

  • Unique weekly trends & content prompts (hi, hello, it me)

  • Verified social media training at a major discount

  • Both Gifted and Paid Collab opportunities from brand partners

  • Access & support to others in the content creator network & our agency team in the IG chat

🤔 What I want to know is:

  • Have you taken advantage of the above? Why / why not?

  • What are your goals for creating content? (IE: Become an influencer, build an audience to further my message, OR make more sales for my business.)

  • What are your biggest challenges as a content creator?

  • Are you a part of any other communities that you love / don’t love?

  • Anything else you would imagine loving to get from the ACN?

📧 Just hit reply 📧 and let me know any of your thoughts!

I really value your input as we are building this community together, and each of you are a super important part of the process.

I’m not copying any format here.

There’s no masterclass teaching me what to do…

I just believe in building community, authentic story telling, and getting shit done.

So let’s build it. Let’s get shit done together. 🤝

Fly on The Wall

Prompt: Ahhh obsessed with this concept from the amazing social strategist on TikTok, Donavan Barret.

It’s the idea that people want more AUTHENTIC content. Go figure ;-)

So the idea is to film your content while you are busy doing something else, and make the audience feel like they are just a ‘fly on the wall’

It’s like they get to watch an episode of reality TV in your life.

It can be as simple as Donavan illustrates, where you talk about your niche while driving a car, and film it.

Or, you can actually stage an interaction (all good reality TV has staged aspects!)

Examples: I’ll let Donavan explain further
