Social Media Marketing Trends week of July 21st
“You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give.”
― E.O. Wilson, scientist who developed the field of Sociobiology
Writing this for you live from a hotel pool while my kids play in the shallow end.
My basement flooded on Wednesday, and by Sunday, my make-shift attempts to dry it out hadn’t worked.
I started to get nervous that the smell was really getting bad, and I had itchy eyes when going down to work on the issue, so I freaked out that it was mold and “said let me get my kids out of the house now!”
(Of course this all happens during the week my husband is away on international travel.)
Life throws us curve balls.
Our actions when the curve balls come is what defines us.
And likely, your actions will often be a result of the habits you have formed.
One habit I have is to try and turn bad situations into good ones…
So I booked a hotel with a pool, and hired a sitter to come watch the kids.
It’s an expensive habit, I must say.
But it’s also giving me the peace to get my work done, build the business, and thrive even in tough situations.
Money well spent. I invest in myself, and whatever it takes to succeed.
So if you’re in a curve ball moment right now..
what do you need to do to turn this into a WOW positive?
what do you need to do to get back to your goals and succeeding?
Maybe it’s hiring a VA.
Maybe it’s booking a staycation and letting your partner handle a weekend on their own.
Give yourself whatever it takes, and you’ll find that the universe will rise to meet you.
Now, onto the ‘of the moment’ content prompts
Carry that $h**
Zach Brown Band’s latest release has a line that has all of us deeply connecting to our childhood experiences - good, or bad, its bringing out a vulnerable moment in creators and causing so many others to relate.
The line goes like this: “I was raised by a woman who was hard to impress, and I carry that shit real deep in my chest.”
The audio is still early on IG with only around 3k uses, though the trend has made its rounds on TikTok with 16M videos made to it since July 2.
Examples: One, Two, Three, Four, Insta, Leave it to the pet creators to make it funny :)
