Social Media Marketing Trends week of March 10th
Happy Sunday, you Authentic creator, you!
If you are feeling like you are stuck in a rut, just don’t have time, or aren’t seeing results with your content…
I want to share with you Megan’s recent win.
She was feeling similarly, but wanted to post for International Women’s Day.
So, she used a trending audio from last week’s email prompts and went viral!
What we can learn from this successful moment:
1) Timebox it. Megan’s post took about 20 minutes to make. So much of the time we overthink our content, and the best posts were often off-the-cuff quick takes. Choose one of these prompts, set a timer for 25 minutes, and just hit post! Get through a down phase by embracing ‘done’, not perfect.
2) Know your Audience. The mixed feelings that Megan shared resonated really well with her most engaged audience - working Moms. They immediately commented and shared… pushing this reel to the top. What brings up mixed feelings for your target audience? Can you put words to it and help them feel seen?
3) Leverage Holidays. International Women’s Day was a great reason to lean into her message and share her experience. There are SO many holidays, you can find one for practically anything. For example, this week we’ve got National Girl Scout Day on 3/12 and Pi Day on 3/14.
Remember, even though you might not feel like posting - check your analytics and see if you can find a bright spot to motivate you to keep going!
Wherever you have a a positive result, take a moment to feel that win and lean into it!
Maybe you had better engagement, or higher reach on one particular reel or carousel post last week.
Congratulate yourself for any progress.
I hope this newsletter gives you just the right nudge and inspo to keep going.
