Social Media Marketing Trends week of March 18th

ICYMI we revealed our recent brand shoot on @ShowUpAuthentic and I am so excited to continue posting with our new * iconic * images!

Our goal with the photoshoot was to make a statement.

What if the traditional housewife wasn’t just a ditsy, barely competent, baby-factory?

(The caricature we’ve been sold for years.)

But rather, she’s part of an incredible community, that has held immense power in our society all along. 💪

So we juxtaposed the beauty of 1950s housewife style with money, and a sense of power, over victimhood. 👗💰

I am so happy with how the images turned out - and I believe in the art and legacy of them so much.

But ——

I held off posting for weeks.

I was SO nervous to get it perfect.

As a social media professional, I wanted our absolute best foot forward.

I also wanted to launch a series of courses or downloads to serve the small business / creator community at an affordable price point.

But the truth is, we aren’t there yet in our business.

We are still SO focused on delivering for our full service agency clients, that we aren’t ready to launch those products just yet.

And we don’t want to launch anything that is sub-par for our standards.

Then I remembered my own advice, done is better than perfect.

So I ripped the bandaid off and started the new branding of our IG.

And the response has been small, but awesome!

So many people said they loved the work.

Even a Mom influencer with over 200k followers from Spain said she was obsessed with it, and wanted to work with us on a US project!

I can’t wait to keep posting more of it, and build our brand’s reputation up over time.

We’re more than just an agency, we’re here to create the change we wish to see in the world.

And so are you.

Rip that bandaid off. 🩹

Say the thing you’ve been scared to say.

We’ve got your back. 💗

Social Media is Fake

Prompt: As a social media professional, I don’t love the intro statement for this trend - as I advocate for true and real communications on our platforms. (haha yikes) However, I VERY MUCH support the message of sharing your insecurity with others… it’s making for really impactful authentic content.

Visual Ideas: Achieve this organic trend’s look by drafting a ‘story’ with the photo you want to use, you can then use IG native text to write on top of it with one of your insecurities / hard truths written out. Don’t post the story, just save it to your camera roll, then post the images as a carousel.

Examples: Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, Example 4
