Social Media Marketing Trends week of March 24th

Did you know that you are the star of your own life?

Imagine for a moment that an interviewer is coming to your home to talk to you about the story of your life.

The interviewer plans to stay all day, there’s no rush.

Just a simple goal:

tell them who you are.

You’ll give them a tour of your home, and you’ll talk about the pictures on the wall.

You’ll have meals together, and maybe even a glass of wine at the end of the day.

The stories will come up naturally…

about your first job…

or your first love…

And you will laugh together, and maybe even cry.

The interviewer leaves and you feel lighter.

You’ve spoken the thoughts in your head.

You’ve looked back at your past with 20/20 vision.

And perhaps more important than sharp details, you’ve seen it with perspective.

The interviewer goes home and knows they’ve got a story to shape.

They think through the stories that made them gasp, and smile.

And the story of your life begins to unfold.

Every human’s life has meaning.

Stories worthy of sharing.

There are no trends this week, just content prompts to help you share your authentic experiences on social.

You get to be the interviewer, AND the interviewee.

A Loss

Prompt: In developing your character as the leading role, the audience loves to root for an underdog. Things don’t come to the hero or heroine easily, they face defeat at times. So, swallow your pride, and think about a humbling experience. If the first loss that comes up feels too painful to share, then think more small scale - like what was a challenge in the last month? Something that you had hoped went differently?

Examples: This Wellness Lady got Skewered by WP and is clapping back, Trying to get a job and ignored for years, Hard Days Happen
