Social Media Marketing Trends week of November 18th

This Week’s Mindset:

“You can't wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club.”

  • Jack London

Authenticity in your content does not mean lazy content, easy content, or unplanned content.

In fact, some of the creators who come off so authentically to me, I know for a fact spend hours on one single video.

They take pride in the art of their true and humanistic storytelling.

And always, they bring their unique perspective.

Whatever makes you unique is your competitive advantage.

It’s human nature to compare ourselves to others, but it’s not a very good use of energy.

Sure, it is important to have people you look up to, creators that inspire you, even benchmarks for what you desire proven by folks who have achieved it before you.

But if you spend too much time there,

you end up neglecting the one thing that can make you the most successful:

your own edge.

Creators who are clear and confident about who they are stand out and attract career opportunities.

They have a vision and come back to it day after day.

If you’re feeling like your content is ‘all over the place’ or you are struggling to gain followers, a deep dive into YOU could be just the answer.

When was the last time you really got clear on what you appreciate about yourself.

What do you have to offer that is different from other creators?

Make a list of your unique experiences and qualities and how you add value.

Create a brief brand statement that highlights those distinctive quallities.

Now go back to your social profile and review - does it reflect your brand statement?

Would it attract your dream brand collabs?

If not, that’s okay!

(I am in perpetual need of improvement here myself.)

But now, you and I have something very powerful.

Clarity.

On to the social content prompts for the week, my friends!
