Social Media Marketing Trends week of October 14th

This Week’s Mindset:

Fortune favors the prepared—opportunity meets those who are ready.

Ready to ignite change and invite flow back into your life?

Today I will share with you another one of my tried and true methods for getting ‘unstuck.’

This will help you with removing creative blocks, getting back on the horse for content creation, and processing your life’s stressors so you can be free and open to receive.

I didn’t invent it.

Julia Cameron did.

Back in 1986.

In a book titled, “The Artist’s Way.”

The process is called ‘Morning Pages.’

Julia changed my life with this one. After reading it, I felt so seen and understood as a creative person.

She describes the inner critic we all have.

She describes the high and low waves of emotion, and it’s impacts on our ability to communicate.

With her morning pages method, Julia was able to move her clients out of writer’s block.

Here’s what you do (in a nut shell)

Go to sleep with a notebook and pen at your bed side table.

When you wake up, first thing in the morning, dont grab your phone.

Instead, grab your paper and pen and begin to write.

The goal is to fill up 3 pages.

It could be remembering your dreams, littering out the things you have in your mind, or emptying out any emotions you are feeling on the page.

It could even be 3 pages of you writing “Blah blah blah!”
For my folks who think they aren’t the journaling type - this is the method! Just fill up 3 pages of nonsense.

The key for this activity is that you are NOT going to read what you write.

Don’t critique yourself. Don’t go back and cross out, or erase.

Just keep writing for three pages.

Boom, that’s it.

Repeat this daily in the morning for 1-2 weeks and I GUARANTEE you will notice an improvement in your creativity and ability to make your art.

Try it out, and let me know how it goes :)
