Social Media Marketing Trends week of August 25th

This Week’s Mindset:

Don’t take it personal. Take note, and take care of it. - Pharrell

One of the things as content creators we have to overcome is the fear of failure, the pain of negative feedback, and the inevitable flopping content.

It doesn’t go away…

but your response to it can change.

You can recognize your fear of failure, and choose to post anyway.

You can listen to the negative feedback, understand it, and choose not to be broken by it.

You can view the bad stats, and give up or throw your hands in the air, or analyze and get back to the drawing board.

We are all motivated by the ‘dopamine hit’ of content going well.

But one thing I am working on as I have progressed as a creator and business owner, is maintaining an even-keel attitude.

Ups are ups, downs are downs.

Don’t get too far on either end of the spectrum, because consistency is what makes the difference between success and failure.

And just remember, there are people out there doing way weirder stuff and the world is grateful for it.

xoxo,

Lindsay

False Fall

I used to think September 1st was the appropriate time to start your fall content.

Alas, we get earlier and earlier every year!

The fall lovers are posting their pumpkin spice lattes, seasonal recipes are hitting the feed, and halloween decor is in full swing.

The early bird does in fact get the worm on these things.

So how can you tie the fall cozy vibes into your content structure?

If you’re in the south or still hanging on to summer, you can take a cue from Landon Talks and call it the ‘false fall’ start!
