Social Media Marketing Trends week of July 1st

This week’s mantra…

“Highflexibility, high accountability.”

- my new fave ‘grammer Jeanelle Teves

Did you know that the average follower growth rate for accounts on Instagram in the month of June 2024 was .6%?

That’s down from .8% on the year. Meaning, June was a hard AF month.

Next time you are feeling bad about your growth, remember to do this calculation, and truly index your results.

Followers gained this month / Total Followers = Monthly growth rate.

Are you beating the average? Even by a little?

Are you doing so without any ad spend?

If so, give yourself a big pat on the back!

You’re competing for attention and follows from SO MANY creators.

If you are not beating the average, book a call with me for next week and I’ll help you strategize how to change that. 💜

On to the content prompts and trends for the week!

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders

he Netflix documentary series is spurring conversation across the internet, mostly around if the cheerleaders are compensated fairly.

It’s a part time job, that most do for the love, not the money - yet it requires a grueling schedule and physical standards.

How can you use this trending topic and relate it back to your niche?

“Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders ain’t got nothing on this routine.”

“We’re staying until the routine is clean” (Me to my Toddler eating messy spaghetti)

If you’re watching the show, I recommend including your thoughts in the caption and using the following hashtag to add to the discussion: #AmericasSweethearts

Examples: Emotionally Recovering Tweet, How much they’re making, but really people want to know, questionable ethics, the way I have convinced myself
