Social Media Marketing Trends week of November 4th
This Week’s Mindset:
“Emotions are the language of the soul.”
How do you get someone to laugh so hard they pee themselves watching your content?
How do you get someone to be inspired by your words so much that they write them down on a piece of scrap paper?
How do you get someone to become invested in you, your brand, or your products?
They have to feel something from your content.
Good storytelling involves evoking emotions from the audience.
Some of my best content and storytelling has come from leaning into my own emotional rollercoaster.
I’ve been belly laughing with my friends and turned that into a content series.
I’ve been insecure and sad and turned that into a vulnerable post.
I’ve been
As women, we are often told that we are ‘too emotional.’
And I think both men and women are told, ‘not to get emotional.’
But it’s simply not true for content creation and story telling.
We have to deeply feel, in order to deeply connect.
We have to excavate our own emotions in order to inspire them in others.
So this week’s prompts are about USING your emotions, as fuel for creativity.
Happy creating!

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 BTW: Of course, the election is a big topic this week. If you want to talk about politics in your content, do it! Yes, you could lose followers. But you will also, most definitely, gain an awareness of who in your community is more like-minded to you. it’s all about where your true conviction lies. If you are at all nervous about sharing, then I’d recommend using humor to relate and keep things light, while meeting people in the moment. Here’s an example of a political post from a kid’s brand that could have totally avoided the conversaiton, but decided to get political and it garnered them very strong engagement. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Start off with something easy - celebrate the little things in life that give you joy.
It could be as simple as when the Cheez-its have just the right amount of salt on them.
or when your heatless curls come out perfect in the morning.
The small, niche observations will make your audience say “OMG YES! THIS!”
What’s also fun about this trend is that TikTok’s younger creators are using it to describe the thing they do with their Mom that they love.
Examples: Food & Treats, Hell Yes, Mom works at Redbull
